February 1, 1944 - May 8, 2019

Wilma Jean (Berger) Johnson, 78, of Basehor KS passed away on 5/16/19.

Born 3/21/41 to Reinold & Cora Berger in Newton KS- she was the 9th of 10 children in a house with only one bathroom. Always the independent, she birthed her first child alone stating, “Your dad was asleep! I left a note.” Countless hours were spent driving across states to visit siblings and attend family reunions. If she wasn’t outside in the garden, or in the kitchen, you could probably find her at Cardiac Rehab- which she enjoyed for over 11 years. An incredible painter and seamstress, she also loved thrift-shopping and driving sleek cars (most notably the T-top Camaro). She was a woman of strong opinions and even stronger Faith.

She leaves her loving memory to her husband of 59 years, Jack H. Johnson, her children, Judy L. Romero and Joe B. Johnson, granddaughter Kaitlyn M. Mohrmann, and great-grandchildren Judy and Jack.
